A Gourmet Journey on Regent Seven Seas Explorer
Hello, fellow food enthusiasts!
If there’s one thing that stands out on my journey with Regent Seven Seas Explorer, it’s the culinary experience – a delightful expedition through flavors, aromas, and exquisite dishes.
Dining Delights: A Feast for the Taste Buds
The food aboard this ship was nothing short of fabulous! Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every meal felt like a celebration.
Prime 7: A Steakhouse to Remember
My favorite restaurant was Prime 7. This steakhouse quickly became my go-to spot. Whether munching on meat empanadas for lunch or savoring a perfectly cooked filet mignon for dinner, every bite was a flavor bomb.
- Meat Empanadas: A pleasant surprise in size and flavor.
- Pulled Pork Sliders: Mouth-watering and satisfying.
- Filet Mignon: Cooked to perfection, accompanied by a twice-baked potato and green beans.
- Desserts: The caramel popcorn with bourbon glaze was a standout!
Pan Pacific: Asian-Infused Elegance
Next up was Pan Pacific, an Asian-infused, Japanese-style restaurant. Despite keeping to appetizers and potstickers due to my seafood allergies, I was completely satisfied.
Chartreuse: French-Inspired Cuisine
Chartreuse was a French restaurant with a unique menu. Though it wasn’t my favorite, it was still wonderful. Highlights included:
- Beetroot Salad: Large pieces of beets with goat cheese and a truffle dressing.
- Braised Veal Filet: Though not memorable for me, it was cooked well.
Other Dining Options: Variety and Quality
Every evening, I explored different dining options:
- Sette Mari at La Veranda: An evening transformation into an Italian restaurant called Sette Mari. No reservations are needed, but it’s very popular, so getting there early is a good idea.
- Compass Rose: The main dining room with no need for reservations and a diverse menu.
- Pool Grill: Casual lunchtime options like hamburgers, hot dogs, and pizza.
- Coffee Connection: The essential stop for my daily caffeine fix.
La Veranda: Casual Breakfast and Lunch
For breakfast and lunch, La Veranda is the go-to spot. This buffet-style restaurant offers a wide variety of options, perfect for starting your day or grabbing a bite in the afternoon. The food is always fresh, delicious, and with so many choices, you'll never get bored.
Experiences Beyond Food
The culinary adventure didn’t just stop at the restaurants. The ship also features a culinary arts kitchen where guests can join cooking classes. While I missed out on booking a spot, everyone I spoke to who participated had rave reviews.
From gourmet dining to casual bites, every meal on the Regent Seven Seas Explorer was a delight. This gourmets' paradise on the high seas is a journey in itself, and I’m already dreaming of my next culinary voyage. (2025 is booked)
